Newsletter - Michael & Dianna Tuttle  - EME Regional Director

Currently, we cannot go in person, but we can go on our knees. We have visited strategic locations, including six capital cities and seven nations with prayer and intercession via anointed, virtual prayer walks. We are thankful for the EME regional prayer commission, and appreciate those who joined us online. There are no boundaries when it comes to prayer.

Belarus - Regional missionary, Brother Baron travels to numerous cities in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, strengthening the churches. He ministers in Trinitarian churches about the Oneness of God and baptism in Jesus Name. In January, the team opened a new preaching point.

France - At least 8 people were recently baptized! Blind eyes were opened, tumors and cancers disappeared, withered hands made whole. Jews, Gentiles, and Muslims all worship together. Only Jesus can do such a thing!

Romania - Jesus is opening doors in Romania! Recently our missionaries have ministered in three new churches with over 250 in attendance. The Lord works mightily, as many were touched in the presence of God.

Sweden - Missionary Jenny Follmer was led by the Lord to connect with other mothers at her children’s school. God opened a door. Two of the mothers told of “awakening” experiences with God. They invited Sis. Follmer to a prayer meeting. She learned of others who had experienced what they called an “awakening.” At a second prayer meeting, she was surprised to meet with 15 Swedish women. After a time of sharing and praying one lady said, “The Lord has brought you to us. It feels like we have bits and pieces of the truth, but we want to know the whole truth." Sister Follmer continues to attend these weekly prayer meetings. God is at work. New visitors, women filled with the Holy Ghost and some have been baptized. Now, some of the husbands want to have the same experience. Sister Follmer says, “HE has done this, and I believe He has called us to this beautiful nation of Sweden for such a time as this.”

Virtual Prayer Walks - So far this year, we have visited Iraq, Ireland, and France virtually. As many as 97 locations have connected in a single prayer walk. These prayer meetings are helping to propel revival!

Josef, an 89-year old Auschwitz concentration camp survivor, and retired Anglican priest, was baptized yesterday. We met a few months ago when he arrived in Paris from Ireland. His small suitcase and his Bible had been stolen at the train station and he wondered if we could help him to get another one. As his story began to unfold, we were amazed. He began attending our services and was thrilled to find a church filled with the Holy Spirit. He has preached Jesus in the local synagogue and seen several people filled w i t h the Holy Spirit. We taught him Bible studies on the importance of baptism in the name of Jesus and he made the decision to be baptized. He walks the streets of Paris, sharing Jesus and praying for people. After today there is an extra “pep in his step” and a new fire burning in his heart. Thank you, Jesus!

Stories Highlights

The wife and children were able to get out of the country and make it to The Netherlands. The husband, we will call Adam (not his real name), was able to be smuggled into a shipping container heading to Istanbul, TK. Somehow he got into the wrong container or destination got changed, and ended up going to a European country. In the container was another family, who were Christians fleeing their country, and an atheist. Adam was praying to his Muslim god when the atheist told him he should pray to the God of Europe since that is where they had ended up. So he prayed for the first time to Jesus Christ. It was a miracle they made it through the border checks, which included heat seeking devices to search for stow aways. They made it past specially trained dogs which should have detected those hiding inside the container. Eventually, Adam was able to get out of the container, discover himself to the authorities and make request for asylum. Asylum was granted. He was able to be reunited with his family in Holland. There they came in contact with a group of Iranians who were in contact with the church. They eventually moved to North America and he became actively involved in helping people of Islam to come to Christ. The UPC of Holland reached out to families like this and others who sought refuge from oppressive governments and conditions that forced them out of their homes. The UPC of Holland reached 100s of expatriates who had come to The Netherlands. Hundreds baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. They attended the Bible School in Holland and became licensed ministers. Today, there are preachers, missionaries and evangelists in the host country. But the most exciting are those who returned to their home country to serve as pastors and preachers of the Good News. The only way The Church will ever reach the multitudes in nations seemingly closed is to reach those who have made it to the outside and when the opportunity of open doors are there and funds become available we can help send them to their families and their people back in their homeland.
